Secretary — Marguerite Guinn
Marguerite Guinn has been the secretary at UBC for over three decades. She also works as a volunteer administrative assistant for Habitat for Humanity of Shawnee, and plays piano for the Rotary, Kiwanis and Lion’s clubs. When necessary, she substitutes for Keith on piano during worship services.
She coordinates the prepared meals on Wednesday afternoons. Marguerite is quite “arts-n-craftsy”, and enjoys cross-stitch, quilting and gardening. She also herds cats (among other things) on the farm north of town.
Marguerite was a long-time member of the Jubilation Ringers. If you need to know anything about the church, Marguerite is a good person to ask.
Music Minister — Louima Lilite
Louima Lilite is our Music Minister. He is an Assistant Professor of Voice in the School of Fine Arts at Oklahoma Baptist University. He earned his doctorate in April 2008 at the Eastman School of Music. He is also the coordinator of the annual North Haiti Music Camp in Limbé, Haiti.
Financial Secretary — Teresa Jett
Teresa Jett is our financial secretary. She was a member of the Jubilation Ringers. She enjoys crocheting and knitting with other ladies at UBC. She is a proud soccer mom, enjoys reading and spending as much time as possible with her family. Teresa graduated from OBU (BA).
Interim Children’s Director – Kara Fuller
Kara oversees nursery worker schedules, helps prepare children’s events and ministries and provides an overall sense of continuity and care for our children.
Interim Youth Minister — Mike Copeland
Mike ministers to the youth of UBC and teaches international students at Oklahoma Baptist University. He has several years of experience in ministry including time spent oversees as a missionary.
Pianist — Keith Whitmore
Keith Whitmore is an Instructor of Music and Staff Accompanist at Oklahoma Baptist University. He is known for his hymn arrangements, as well as original compositions. Give him any two keys, and he’ll find a way to modulate!
Keith holds a D.M.A. from the University of Oklahoma, M.M., University of North Texas and a B.Mus., Hardin Simmons University.
Organist — Laura Whitmore
Laura Whitmore plays the organ, teaches kindergarten in Shawnee, and is very involved in music at home, at work, and at church. She leads the adult and youth handbells, and has been a handbell ringer for years with the Jubilation Ringers.
Laura holds a B.M.E. from Hardin Simmons University.
